India talking to China, NSG efforts will continue: Modi
New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has been raising issues of its interest with China in a straight-forward manner and it will continue making efforts to be a member of the Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG).
In an interview with TimesNow news channel, Modi said that due process for India's inclusion in the NSG will continue.
"Everyone attempted and we also attempted to be a member of the NSG group. We will keep trying, and things have started on a positive note. All the things will be according to the due procedure," Modi said.
Asked to comment on China's objections to India's NSG bid, Modi said: "There have been talks with China and in future also the talks should continue... There have been times when China has differed on several issues and even India has differed on several issues."
"One thing I want to say that India has been raising all the issues of India's interest with China in a straight forward manner."
India's bid last week to become a member of NSG proved unsuccessful with China "persistently" raising procedural hurdles even as most others in the 48-member bloc supported New Delhi. - IANS
