DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi Invites Students to Apply For Parliamentary Internship Program
25-June-2025
DMK Member of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and daughter of former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi has announced a Parliamentary Internship Program for postgraduate students who are interested in learning about law-making, policy, and governance in India.
In a post on LinkedIn, Kanimozhi said the internship will help “bright minds interested in public policy and parliamentary proceedings to learn more about the intricacies of governance.”
She said the selected interns will work closely with her parliamentary team to conduct research, draft private member bills, prepare parliamentary and zero-hour questions, and witness the law-making process first-hand. The program also aims to help students improve their communication, advocacy, and leadership skills.
The internship is open to postgraduate students, preferably those who have studied law, public policy, governance, or social sciences. The internship will take place at the MP’s office in Delhi and will last between three to six months. It is a paid internship. Students are required to submit their resume, a cover letter, and samples of their research work through a Google Form by June 30, 2025.
A few parliamentarians, such as Shashi Tharoor, Jayant Sinha, Derek O’Brien, and Raghav Chadha, have offered similar internship programs in the past. - TWL Bureau
