President greets Greece on Independence Day

President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the Hellenic Republic (official name of Greece) on the country's Independence Day on March 25.
In a message to Hellenic Republic President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Mukherjee said: “On behalf of the government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to your excellency and to the people of the Hellenic Republic on the occasion of your Independence Day.”
He said India and the Hellenic Republic enjoyed excellent relations “based on our common commitment to shared values and our cultural ties that go back into antiquity”.
“Both our nations seek to consolidate and strengthen our cooperation and take it to a higher level. I am confident that our bilateral relationship will continue to flourish for the mutual benefit of our two peoples in the years to come,” Mukherjee said. - IANS
