French foreign minister in India ahead of Paris climate meet

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius arrived here on Thursday on a two-day visit for talks ahead of the Conference of Parties (CoP) 21 climate summit to be held in Paris later this month.
"French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is currently visiting Delhi accompanied by the French special representative for climate change," Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the external affairs ministry, said in his weekly media briefing.
"They are here for the forthcoming CoP 21 in Paris," he said.
During his visit, Fabius will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Environment and Forests Minister Prakash Javadekar and Minister for New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal, the spokesperson said. - IANS
