Congress CEC to finalise candidates for Haryana polls
27-September-2019
The Congress Election Committee (CEC) is meeting on Friday to decide on the candidates for the October 21 Assembly polls in Haryana.
The party CEC will meet at Sonia Gandhi's residence at 10 Janpath.
The Congress is mulling over the idea to repeat all its sitting MLA's. The Congress had won 15 seats in the 2014 Assembly elections.
Sources say that Renuka Bishnoi daughter-in-Law of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal is seeking ticket for her son. She is an MLA from Hansi Assembly seat. Her Son, Bhavya Bishnoi, had unsuccessfully contested the Hisar Loksabha seat in last parliamentary polls.
Haryana Congress is divided into various factions. On Thursday the party's State Election Committee met in New Delhi, but the former state President of the party Ashok Tanwar boycotted the meeting.IANS
