4.8-magnitude quake strikes Bengal

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck West Bengal's Bankura district on Sunday, authorities said.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre Kolkata, the earthquake occurred at 10.39 a.m. at a depth of 10 kilometres in Bankura region.
Tremors were felt in Purulia, Jhargram and other adjoining areas. IANS
