Indian Army chief meets Bhutan King

On a goodwill visit to Bhutan, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat met King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck on Friday and assured him New Delhi's continued support.
The Army chief arrived in Bhutan on Thursday and will be here till Sunday.
An Indian Army statement said Gen Rawat had an audience with the King at Tashi Chhodzong Palace.
"The King acknowledged the historical and cultural relationships between the two countries and the special relationship shared between the Indian Army and the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA)," the statement said.
Gen Rawat "assured that the Indian Army would continue with its special relationship with the RBA in terms of training assistance and support in capability building", the statement said. - IANS
