Draw the red lines for Pakistan: BJP

The BJP Wednesday asked India to "clearly define the red lines" for Pakistan after its troops brutally murdered two Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian government "will have to be very firm, very cautious and very clear on how to deal with Pakistan", Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley told the media.

He said the Tuesday killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops was obviously "intended to disturb the environment" of improved relations between the two countries.

"The brutality (heaped) on the two Indian soldiers shows the real reason behind this attack."

Jaitley called the attack a "warning to India, a warning that in dealing with Pakistan, the government should clearly define the red lines".

He urged the government to collect all evidence regarding the killings, including the identity of Pakistani military officials guarding that area, and place these before the international community "so that Pakistan can be named and shamed".

"The government must be very firm while dealing with Pakistan," he said.

Indian officials say the Pakistani troops who sneaked into Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday taking advantage of a dense fog slit the throats of two Indian soldiers and wounded a third. - IANS
