Six killed in Maharashtra cracker factory blast

At least six workers were killed and four injured in a blast which ripped through a firecracker factory in Maharashtra's Sangli district on Monday evening, police said.
A loud blast was heard around 5.45 p.m. from the premises of the Eagle Fireworks factory in Kavtheakand village, around 15 km from Tasgaon town, said a police official in Sangli.
Police officials rushed to the site, and the cause of the blast was being probed.
The injured were rushed to hospitals, and the identity of the dead was being ascertained. - IANS
