one dead, 5 injured in road accident in UP

One person died on the spot while five co-passengers were seriously injured when their car early Tuesday hit a divider on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district.
The deceased was the driver of the car and has been identified as Devendra Singh, a resident of the Aligarh district.
The car was travelling from Delhi to Lucknow with retired Major General Kunal Mukherji and four others associated with an NGO.
The vehicle hit the divider with a massive impact that almost crushed the car. Villagers rushed to help the victims. The police has shifted the injured to the Mainpuri hospital.
