Top HRD Ministry official Rina Ray replaced

 In a sudden change of guard in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Rina Ray has been repatriated to her parent cadre "with immediate effect".

The 1984 batch officer was the Secretary of Department of School Education & Literacy in the Ministry.

A year junior to Ray, Amit Khare, who is a 1985 batch IAS officer has now been given the additional responsibility for Ray's post.

Khare is already the Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. However, a government order states, this arrangement is "till appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier" takes place.

The order by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet was issued by P.K. Tripathi who is the Secretary of this Department.IANS
