CPSEs divestment will boost their contribution to economic growth
05-July-2019
A progressive budget which focuses on core issues of health, sanitation, water and welfare of the people as well strengthens the foundation of New India that is prepared to ride the wave of mega technological changes.
The budget has set some mega targets like Rs 100 lakh crore investment in infrastructure over the next five years that has the potential to completely transform the face of our nation and help the economy reach the $5 trillion mark.
It is good to note that the budget document clearly states that strategic disinvestment of select Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) would continue to remain a priority of this government and it will offer more CPSEs for strategic participation by the private sector.
The CPSEs hold significant intrinsic value and their divestment will not only unlock that value but also boost their contribution to the growth of the economy.IANS
