J&K Police asked to file report in minor's rape

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday asked the police to file on Friday the status report on the rape of a minor in Bandipora which triggered widespread protests.
Chief Justice Gita Mittal took suo motu notice of the crime and asked the Inspector General of Police to file the report.
A three-year-old was raped in Bandipora district on May 8. The accused has been arrested and a special investigation team (SIT) constituted by the police was investigating the case. IANS
