Criminal escapes after gunfight in Delhi

A criminal wanted for murder in Punjab escaped while two others were arrested after a gunfight with the police here on Tuesday.
The fighting followed a raid the Delhi Police and Punjab Police conducted in Dwarka Mor area to apprehend two men from the state wanted for several crimes, a police officer here said.
No casualties were reported on either side in the gunfight.
"The main accused, who managed to escape, had 10 criminal cases of murder, extortion and other serious offences registered against him," Deputy Commissioner of Police Shibesh Singh told IANS.
"Some others involved in the gunfight were detained. One of them, Naresh, had five cases registered against him," said Singh.
Several weapons were recovered from Gudia Properties at Dwarka Mor which the police raided. - IANS
