Militants kill SPO in J&K

Militants on Wednesday evening shot dead a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The militants barged into Haleem Gujjar's house in Gutroo village and fired at him from close range, killing him on the spot.
The SPOs are engaged on fixed monthly remuneration to fight militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. - IANS
