New FASTag Scheme: Rs 15 Toll Per Trip With Rs 3,000 Annual Pass
18-July-2025

From August 15, 2025, people using National Highways can save big on toll charges with a new FASTag annual pass. This pass will cost Rs 3,000 and can be used for one year or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first. On an average, Rs 15 will be deducted at every toll gate, which will be much lesser that the usual charges of Rs 50 to Rs 80 per toll gate.
But only private vehicles can use the passes, which can be purchased through the official NHAI website or the RajmargYatra app. It will be valid on all toll plazas managed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), but not on those run by state governments.
People who travel long distances often or use the highways regularly will find this pass very useful. It saves money and also makes travel smoother because there will be no need to top up the FASTag every time. Many believe this scheme will be a big blessing, especially for those who commute between cities or take regular highway trips for work or personal reasons.
The FASTag annual pass is expected to encourage more people to use the highways without worrying about high toll charges. - TWL Bureau
