In the footage, Brigitte is seen placing her hands on President Macron's face, which some reports have described as a light push, while others claimed she allegedly slapped him. The brief moment happened as the couple stepped off their plane in Hanoi on May 25.
According to reports, the interaction appears playful, and President Macron was seen smiling soon after. He later clarified that the two were simply joking, and the incident was being exaggerated.
