It’s been nearly 24 hours since the shocking terror attack in Pahalgam that took 26 lives — 25 Indians and a tourist from Nepal. What was supposed to be a peaceful day in the scenic Baisaran meadow turned into a nightmare as gunmen opened fire on tourists.
This has been the deadliest attack on civilians in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The assailants, reportedly wearing military fatigues, opened fire indiscriminately, targeting tourists and disrupting a period of relative calm and growing tourism in the region.

The incident has also increased tensions between India and Pakistan, with Indian officials blaming groups based in Pakistan. Local groups have called for a shutdown, and many tourists are now leaving the area out of fear. – TWL Bureau
