That Sassy Thing Raises ₹6 Crore to Disrupt Women’s Sexual Wellness Space
17-April-2025

That Sassy Thing, a women-first sexual wellness brand, has raised ₹6 crore in seed funding. The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from Chandigarh Angels Network and investors such as Bala Sarda (Vahdam Teas), Saurabh Munjal (Lahori Zeera), and Kirti Jangra (Animall Technologies).
Founded in 2021 by husband-wife duo Sachee Malhotra and Himanshu Bhalla, the Delhi-based startup focuses on creating stigma-free, safe, and accessible products for women’s intimate health. Its offerings include full-body massagers, aloe-based lubricants, and intimate washes. The brand also runs free, online sex education masterclasses, including a course titled Healing from Sexual Trauma, which won the UN Laadli Media & Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity in 2024.
Vinay Bansal, Founder and CEO of Inflection Point Ventures, said, “As an investor, I believe women’s sexual wellness and education are among the most overlooked and underfunded areas in the consumer lifestyle space. That Sassy Thing is boldly flipping the script—not just with well-designed products, but also with inclusive, credible sex education that’s changing the way women engage with themselves. We’re proud to back their mission and help them scale this important movement.”
The brand has grown 200 percent year-on-year and claims to have served over 50,000 customers across India. Its products are available through its own website and quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart. The company has also started retailing at select cafés in Delhi NCR, reflecting growing consumer acceptance.
Sachee Malhotra, Co-founder, said, “Sexual wellness needs a rebrand. For too long, women have been ignored or objectified in this space. We’re changing that narrative by focusing on women’s needs—vaginal wellness, PCOS, menopause—and giving them stigma-free access to products and education. With this fundraise, we’re doubling down on brand, team, and category-defining solutions.”
Co-founder Himanshu Bhalla added, “The market is massive and deeply untapped. With rising global exposure and changing mindsets, we’re poised to create India’s largest sexual wellness brand for women. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and this is just the beginning.”
That Sassy Thing combines e-commerce with cultural and educational outreach to promote conversations around body literacy and pleasure. Its community-first model and brand positioning aim to create a leading presence in India’s growing sexual wellness market, which is projected to reach ₹24,000 crore by 2030.
Malhotra holds a Master’s degree in Brand Communications Strategy from Virginia Commonwealth University in the US and has worked with brands such as Arata, VegNonVeg, and Smoke Vodka. Bhalla is a graduate of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and has led creative campaigns for brands including UNESCO and Manforce Condoms.
IPV, which led the investment round, is an angel investing platform with over 23,500 members and has launched a ₹50 crore venture capital fund, Physis Capital, to invest in early-stage startups.- TWL Bureau
