23-February-2013
Experts will share their thoughts to make Chennai ‘a world class city’ at an event in Chennai on February 23, organized by a group of volunteers along with ‘Chennai City Connect,’ an initiative that focuses on urban management issues.
Abdul Ghani (Green Chennai), Hari Balaji (Disaster Resilient Chennai), Sarath Babu (Solar Chennai), and Mathew Jose (Paperman Chennai) will share their ideas at the event taking place at Rails Factory, Royapettah from 3 pm onwards.
“The idea is to motivate people to come forward to solve the various civic issues that we face with our individual capacity without depending on the government.
“We believe that today people have become smarter and more knowledgeable than the bureaucrats. We are showcasing people who stand as a testimony to this statement,” said Thomas Arun, one of the organizers.
