Delhi deputy speaker resigns

Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Bandana Kumari tendered her resignation and it was accepted by Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Saturday, an official said.
"With this, the office of deputy speaker of Delhi assembly has fallen vacant from Saturday afternoon," the official said.
Government sources said that Bandana Kumari resigned from her post after taking moral responsibility for the defeat of her Aadmi Party candidate in the civic body by-election in her constituency Shalimar Bagh. - IANS
