Hundreds of differently abled to get married on Sunday
New Delhi
28-January-2016
About 200 differently abled men and women will tie the knot here on Sunday, the organisers said on Thursday.
"'Divyang' (endowed with special faculties) and underprivileged 'Vivah Samaroh' (marriage ceremony) will take place on January 31, 2016 at Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi," said a statement issued by Udaipur-based Narayan Seva Sansthan, which is organising the function.
The mass marriage ceremony is organised twice a year and over 1,000 such marriages have already been solemnised over the years, it said.
'Divyang' is a term used for people with physical disabilities by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is sought to be made popular by him. - IANS
