India was the world's largest rice exporter in 2015, with 10.2 million tonnes sold in the global market.

Thailand came second with 9.8 million tonnes, down from 10.9 million tonnes in 2014, Xinhua quoted Thai Rice Exporters Association head Charoen Laothammathat as saying on Wednesday.
Vietnam was third with 6.4 million tonnes.
Thai rice exports earned an estimated $4.6 billion in 2015, compared to $5.4 billion the previous year, Charoen said. - IANS
