Online recharge portal Paytm is offering residents of flood-stricken Chennai a free recharge for mobile phones.
Residents can call on 18001030033 and share the mobile number that they want to get topped-up. Paytm will facilitate a Rs.30 recharge instantly, and that too free of cost.
The idea behind the initiative by Paytm is to enable people to stay in touch at this time of natural disaster.
Unprecedented torrential rains, the worst in 100 years, have battered Tamil Nadu's northern districts including Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Cuddalore.- IANS
