Kejriwal offers Rs 1 cr to late corona warrior's family

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met the family of late Rajesh Kumar Bhardwaj, a pharmacist who was posted with the Delhi government and subsequently died due to COVID-19, to offer them a cheque of Rs 1 crore as financial assistance.
  Kejriwal met Bhardwaj's family and assured them of full support in the future as well. Expressing condolences on his demise, Kejriwal also said that he is proud of all corona warriors like Bhardwaj who laid down their lives while serving the people of Delhi.
He tweeted, "Our Corona Warrior Shri Rajesh Bhardwaj Ji, who was posted as a pharmacist in Delhi Government, had recently passed away due to coronavirus. I met his family today and offered them an assistance of Rs 1 crore. I hope that the family will get some help with this amount."
Bhardwaj was posted at the CDMO Office, Nabi Karim in the central district. He and his family resided in Faridabad. He succumbed to coronavirus at the BL Kapoor Hospital in Delhi where he was admitted after testing positive on June 29. He lost his battle with the virus on July 20. - IANS
