Covid-19: Canteens in Central govt offices, ministries shut

All the departmental canteens running in the Central government offices, ministries and departments have been ordered closed as a preventive measure to contain spread of Covid-19, a government order said on Monday.
"It has been decided with the approval of competent authority that all the departmental canteens in Central Ministries, departments and offices shall be closed with immediate effect," the Department of Personnel and Training said in an office memorandum.
It also requested all the ministries, departments and offices, which have resumed work amid the lockdown, not to open the canteens until further orders.
The move comes in the wake of the growing number of novel coronavirus cases across the country. IANS
