Delhi govt sanitises all COVID-19 hotspots

 The Delhi government has claimed to have sanitised all the coronavirus hotspots in the national capital. All those places from where the risk of coronavirus spread was high had been sanitised using a Japanese machine, the Delhi government claimed here on Saturday.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Vice-Chairman Raghav Chadha said, "The DJB has completed sanitisation in 37 red zones and 180 orange zones on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's orders. Our team is working hard to keep people of Delhi healthy."

Ten Japanese machines have been provided to the Delhi government to sanitise red and orange hotspots. With 600 litre sanitiser, these machine can sanitise around 20 sq hectares in an hour. Two arms of the machine which spray the sanitiser can spread up to 53 feet.

Apart from this, 50 jetting machines of the DJB are also being used to sanitise various areas.

In the past 24 hours, 67 new cases and 42 deaths have been reported in Delhi. Of the 1,707 active cases, 911 are under treatment. IANS
