DMK-led opposition parties in Tamil Nadu on Thursday urged the state government to provide Rs 1 crore as financial relief to the families of those who died due to Covid-19.
The parties also asked the state government to increase the compensation amount to Rs 1 crore for the families of medical professionals deployed in treating Covid-19 patients and others who work to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

-Distribute Rs 5,000 to all ration card holders in the state as relief;
-The central government should allocate Rs 15,000 crore asked by the Tamil Nadu government for relief measures
-Quickly formulate the scheme for relief and economic welfare. IANS
