Tamil youths reach hometown 1000 km away hitchhiking, walking from Maharashtra

Seven youths hailing from Tiruvarur district reached Tamil Nadu covering about 1,000 km from Solapur in Maharashtra hitchhiking and walking since March 29.
The seven youth employed by a farm equipment company in Solapur decided to reach their hometown with the announcement of 21-day lockdown.

According to reports reaching here, the youth hitchhiked on a truck carrying onions at Solapur and reached Salem in Tamil Nadu.
From Salem the youth reached Trichy district by hitchhiking and walking on Saturday morning.
The district administration after checking their papers issued them the vehicle pass and they then boarded a vehicle to their native town.-IANS
