MG Motor to incentivize 'quick-to-produce' ventilator design
02-April-2020
In its efforts against Covid-19, automobile manufacturer MG Motor India on Thursday commenced a challenge to find a quick-to-produce ventilator design.
Accordingly, post evaluation of ventilator design concept by medical experts, the company will give a grant of Rs 10 lakh under the MG Developer Program & Grant.
The carmaker will also provide production support for the proposed ventilator prototype at its Halol manufacturing facility to ensure swifter market deployment.
"Incentivizing medical innovation through a financial grant to the most viable prototype is the most effective channel to do our bit for the community," said Rajeev Chaba, President and MD - MG Motor India.
The MG Developer Program & Grant was launched in September 2019 to nurture innovative ideas in the automotive space. IANS
