467 shelters set up in Haryana to house migrants: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that 467 relief shelters to house and feed 70,000 persons had been set up in the northern state in the wake of exodus of migrant labourers amid a 21-day nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus scare.
He claimed that 10,000 persons were at present housed in these shelters, where they were also getting food.
A total of 27 lakh persons holding pink, yellow and khakhi cards would be given free ration for April, which entails and expenditure of Rs 48 lakh. They will be provided ration by April 5.
Those without ration cards would be provided packed food, particularly those residing in shanties in urban areas.
Till date, donations totalling Rs 21 crore have been given to the relief fund set up to fight coronavirus spread in Haryana. IANS
