Kashmir's first Covid-19 patient recovers completely

Kashmir's first Covid-19 patient has successfully been treated and is now free of any viral infection, doctors said on Monday
Addressing media here, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Director A.G. Ahangar said the first coronavirus patient has completely recovered and has tested negative in repeated tests during the last 24 hours.
"The patient who came here after foreign travel was admitted in our hospital. After the patient tested positive for coronavirus, we started treating the patient according to the ICMR protocol.
"The patient has completely recovered and has tested negative in repeated tests. The patient is now recuperating and would be discharged after completion of the mandatory period," he said.
Ahangar said the hospital has so far tested 219 patients and only 11 of these had tested positive.
"At present, there are 133 patients who have been admitted in the hospital as suspects and are being treated as per the ICMR protocol," he said. IANS
