Himachal seeks services of retired doctors, paramedics

To strengthen health services to tackle coronavirus, the Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday extended the offer to doctors and paramedics, who have retired from the military and paramilitary forces, for appointment on a temporary basis.
A day earlier the government decided to defer the retirement of doctors, teaching faculty and paramedical staff in the Health Department and its medical colleges till June 30.
As per the latest order passed by the Additional Chief Secretary (Health), this offer is purely as a stop gap arrangement and is liable to be terminated or withdrawn without giving any notice and assigning any reason.
The offer will be valid from April 1 till further orders.
The ex-armed forces and paramilitary personnel can apply for appointment in the offices of the Chief Medical Officer of the district or the Principal of the medical college, who have been authorized to issue appointment orders. IANS
