NGT adjourns cases listed till March 31 for July

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday adjourned all matters listed till March 31 for the July.
In a circular, the tribunal stated, "As per the competent authority, in the wake of recent outbreak of coronavirus and flu, all concerned are intimated that all pending matters till March 21 of NGT, Zonal Bench, stand adjourned."
The matters which were earlier scheduled for March 23 and 24 have been listed for July 13. The cases on March 26 and 27 will now be heard on July 14 and those on March 30 and 31 are slated for July 15.
The adjournment came a day after the government imposed a lockdown in the country in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India stood at 415, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Seven people have succumbed to the virus so far. IANS
