Delhi HC temporarily suspends breath analyser test for ATC
23-March-2020
The Delhi High Court on Monday directed for temporary suspension of breath analyser test for the Air Traffic Control (ATC).
A single judge bench of the Delhi High Court presided by Justice Pratibha M. Singh also directed the Director General Medical Services (Air) to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to find an alternative measure in place of these tests.
The court was hearing a plea by Air Traffic Controllers' Guild (India) seeking direction to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Air Authority of India (AAI) to temporarily suspend the BAT through the current tube process to prevent the further spread of coronavirus and expose the ATCs to deadly virus.
The matter will now be heard on Friday. IANS
