JKAP suspends political activities till further advisories

The Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP)on Friday suspended all its political activities in the wake of the guidelines issued by the health authorities to fight COVID-19 outbreak in Jammu and Kashmir.
Altaf Bukhari, JKAP chief asked the party activists to lend help to the administration in spreading awareness about proper sanitation and social-distancing guidelines.
"In view of a positive COVID-19 case in Kashmir, all JKAP meetings are hereby suspended," a party spokesperson said here.
"Colleagues and workers are requested not to hold any outreach activity for the time being. Party's Sheikhbagh office will be only open for urgent work," said the spokesperson.
The party has also issued certain phone numbers for people to seek help during distress hours -- 0194-2486668, 9419001440, 9419000130.
The JKAP spokesman said that the political activities of the party shall remain stalled till March 31, 2020 and till then all the guidelines of the health department shall be followed in letter and spirit. "The party activities shall be resumed in accordance with new guidelines as and when issued by the health authorities," he added. IANS
