Goa B-school postpones convocation amid COVID-19 fear

Goa's top B-school, the Goa Institute of Management has postponed its convocation ceremony involving more than 360 management graduates, in view of the coronavirus outbreak, the institute said a statement on Friday.
The convocation ceremony was scheduled to be held on March 27.
"The convocation ceremony which was slated to be held this month has been postponed to a later date. Once dates have been confirmed it will be shared with the students and faculty," the statement said.
The Institute said all student exchange programmes had been suspended and international travel of its staffers was being reviewed.
"All student exchange programmes to universities abroad and international internships have been suspended for now. The institute will assist with identifying summer internship opportunities within the country instead," the statement said.
"All international travel is to be reviewed and decided upon keeping in mind the travel advisory issued by the central health ministry. Instead remote meeting arrangements using secure, approved technology is advised," it added. IANS
