08-March-2020
As a part of its grassroots development programme, Odisha FC organised a special Girls Football Festival here on Sunday to celebrate International Women's Day.
Around 30 girls from Ghatikia and nearby areas of Bhubaneswar attended the event at Bajrangbali Sports Club, Ghatikia, on Sunday.
Assistant Grassroots Manager of the club Suvam Das first organised technical drills after warm-up after which an exhibition 11-a-side football match was played.
Not only the girls, their parents and family members also gathered at the ground to watch them show football skills. Members of OFC fan group - The Juggernauts - assisted the club in the smooth conduct of the festival.
"I enjoyed the event a lot today. Especially the technical drill was very exciting and unique. We will definitely want to be a part of such festivals in the future," said one of the girls who took part in the event. IANS
