Waqf Board to repair shops, houses: Amanatullah Khan

Aam Aadmi Party MLA and Delhi Waqf Board chairman Amanatullah Khan on Friday announced that the construction committee of the Board will do the repair work in the riot-affected areas for which Rs 50 lakh has been already given.
In a tweet in Hindi, he said the committee will do the repair work irrespective of the religion of the affected people.
"The construction committee of the Delhi Waqf Board will start the work of repairing the shops and houses which were burnt during the riots from Saturday. The repair will be done irrespective of the religion of the people," Khan tweeted in Hindi.
Over 50 people have lost their lives while hundreds were injured during a communal violence in Delhi on February 23.
Several buildings, including schools, were burnt during the riot. IANS
