Focus on coronavirus, not social media: Rahul to Modi
03-March-2020
Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi continued his Twitter attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, challenging him to focus on the coronavirus threat rather than his social media accounts.
Addressing the Prime Minister's official twitter account, Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Quit wasting India's time playing the clown with your social media accounts, when India is facing an emergency. Focus the attention of every Indian on taking on the Corona virus challenge. Here's how it's done.."
The tweet had a video of Singapore Premier Lee Hsien Loong urging his countrymen to bravely face the coronavirus threat.
On Monday, Prime Minister Modi had issued a cryptic tweet stating, "This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you posted".
Subsequently, however, Modi clarified in a tweet that "This Women's Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions." IANS
