Kerala IUML leaders to visit Delhi violence-hit areas
26-February-2020
A high level delegation of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) led by Lok Sabha member P.K. Kunhalikutty will be visiting the riot-hit areas in Delhi, the party said after holding a meeting here on Wednesday.
IUML is the second biggest ally of the Congress-led UDF in Kerala, which is in the opposition.
The delegation will include other MPs, including E.T. Mohammed Basheer, P.V. Abdul Wahab.
"The BJP had planned the 'Gujarat' model attack in Delhi," said Kunhalikutty.
The IUML delegation will also call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
So far, 20 people have been died in the Delhi violence.
The cause of the violence is believed to be a clash between the pro and anti-CAA protesters in northeast Delhi's Jafrabad area.-IANS
