No de-radicalisation camps in J&K: Govt
Srinagar
11-February-2020
There are no reports of existence of any de-radicalisation camps in the country, especially Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home G. Krishan Reddy told Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Earlier supporting the idea of de-radicalisation centres in Kashmir, as suggested by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, J&K Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh said such a move was welcome.
Singh had said experts and civil society members must join hands to counter radicalisation.
Last month, speaking at the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi, General Rawat had sparked a controversy by speaking about setting up de-radicalisation camps.-IANS
