Robot crushed Gurgaon worker to death: Experts

A 23-year-old worker, who died at a factory in Manesar near here on Wednesday, was killed when a production robot gripped, crushed and threw him away, forensic experts said on Thursday.
Earlier, it was reported that Ramji Lal, an employee of SKH Metals factory, died after receiving an electric shock when he came in contact with the robot.
"The chest and stomach of the victim was badly crushed by the arm of the robot. The deceased died due to internal crush injuries and excessive blood loss," forensic expert Deepak Mathur, who conducted the post-mortem examination, told IANS.
He said the body has external injuries too as the robot first gripped and crushed the victim and later threw him.
The company management and contractor have been booked on charges of causing death due to negligence.
