Tamil Nadu assembly's monsoon session from August 24

The monsoon session of Tamil Nadu assembly would be held from August 24, an official statement said on Thursday.

Speaker P. Dhanapal had convened the session at 10 a.m. on August 24, it said.

Opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have been demanding the state government convene the assembly session to discuss issues like liquor prohibition, demand for grants for different departments and others. - IANS
