CBI files three new FIRs in Vyapam scam

The CBI on Friday registered three fresh FIRs in connection with its ongoing probe into the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.
The first FIR was registered against two accused regarding alleged illegalities committed in the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2014.
The second First Information Report (FIR) was registered against two accused on the charge of cheating by impersonation in Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013 conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam), or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the third case against one accused regarding alleged illegalities in the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2012.
The CBI has already registered 52 FIRs and launched 11 preliminary inquiries into the Vyapam scam.
The Supreme Court on July 9 handed over the Vyapam cases to the central probe agency. Over 40 people linked with the scam have died under mysterious circumstances or committed suicide. - IANS
