Baglay appointed High Commissioner to Sri Lanka

The government on Saturday appointed Gopal Baglay as the next High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka.
Official sources said that Baglay, who is currently in the Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi, will take over from Taranjit Singh Sandhu who was recently appointed as Ambassador to the US.
An 1992 batch IFS officer, Baglay has served in Moscow, London, Kathmandu and Islamabad besides holding key positions in the Ministry of External Affairs.IANS
