25-July-2015
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said its leader Kumar Vishwas was ready to take on Delhi Police commissioner B.S. Bassi on behalf of Arvind Kejriwal in a public debate.
"The spokesperson of Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Bassi sahab challenged Arvind Kejriwal. On Arvind Kejriwal's behalf, Kumar Vishwas is ready for debate. Bassiji should tell the time and venue," AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted.
Vishwas, known as a good orator, is often found participating in TV debates.
In an interview to a news channel, Bassi invited Kejirwal to debate on the functioning of Delhi Police which has been questioned by the chief minister.
Following the murder of a 19-year-old girl in Anand Parbat area, Kejriwal reiterated his old demand to bring Delhi Police, which presently reports to the home ministry, under the city government. - IANS
