Left demands resignation of BJP leaders
20-July-2015
Activists of six Left parties on Monday staged a protest march to demand the resignations of union minister Sushma Swaraj and BJP chief ministers Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
About 1,000 members of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and Forward Bloc marched from Mandi House to Parliament Street.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Raje are linked to former IPL chairman Lalit Modi, who faces an Enforcement Directorate probe.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chouhan is under attack for the Vyapam recruitment scam.
"Modi promised a corruption-free India. First he should ensure a corruption-free cabinet and chief ministers in BJP-led states," said CPI-M leader Brinda Karat. -IANS
