India-Pakistan joint statement not a breakthrough: Congress
17-July-2015
The Congress on Friday said the India-Pakistan joint statement in the Russian city of Ufa was not a "breakthrough" between India and Pakistan.
"So-called joint statement with Pakistan is not 'breakthrough' but 'break our bones'," said senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid here at a press conference here.
Khurshid also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he has failed the country with respect to Jammu and Kashmir and foreign policy.
"The BJP does not have any policy vis-a-vis Jammu and Kashmir. It is highly unfortunate that prime minister is in Jammu and Pakistan and ISIS flags are raised in Srinagar," Khurshid said.
"We also tried peace initiatives with Pakistan, but our experience tells us not to trust Pakistan," he added. - IANS
