Vistara waives charges for Lucknow, Delhi passengers
22-December-2019
In view of the ongoing protests in Lucknow, private airline Vistara has announced a full waiver of change and cancellation fees for passenger travelling to and from the city on Sunday.
"Due to the ongoing situation in Lucknow, Vistara announces free change to bookings and cancellation without any penalty for those booked to travel to and from Lucknow. Fare difference, if any, will be applicable," a Vistara statement said.
Protests in Lucknow along with other parts of Uttar Pradesh have turned violent in the past few days, leading to authorities to impose an internet shutdown.
Further, after the Delhi police imposed traffic restrictions on NH-48 till 2 p.m. on Sunday in view of security, Vistara announced that it would accommodate passengers travelling on flights to and from Delhi till 4 p.m. on the next available flights without any change fees for the day.
The adjustment, however, would be subject to availability of seats in the subsequent flights, the statement said.
